Richard B. Maltz Named ’40 Under 40′ by Long Island Business News

Chief Executive Officer of Maltz Auctions Honored

Maltz Auctions is pleased to announce that Richard B. Maltz, has been selected by Long Island Business News as a “40 Under 40” award recipient for 2018. The award was given out to 40 rising stars under the age of 40, at an awards ceremony on February 8, 2018 at Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.

Long Island Business News has been presenting this award, which recognizes leaders of Long Island who have already begun to distinguish themselves in business, government, education and the not-for-profit sector, since 1998. They have a proven track record of career success, are involved in mentoring and promoting their profession, and find time to give back to their communities.

While running a multi-million-dollar business, he tirelessly devotes hours to charitable entities that are in need of auctioneer services at their galas and benefits. He generously jumps at the opportunity to share his talent. He has donated his services to the Long Island Music Hall of Fame, The Garden City Chamber of Commerce, just to name a few. Richard is also a supporter and donor to Wounded Warriors.

The past couple of years have been difficult. His father, the company’s founder, David R. Maltz, died of an aggressive form of leukemia in 2015. David would be proud since Richard has continued leading the company and retained his most valuable asset: his integrity.

We can imagine no one more fitting to be named to LIBN’s 40 under 40 than Richard B. Maltz and are greatly humbled that he has been recognized.
