Plainview NY, July 5, 2007- David R. Maltz & Co., Inc., Auctioneers today announced the public auction sale of Foremost Furniture. After more than 40 years of selling high quality, middle to upper-end home furnishings to customers throughout the tri-state area, this well known furniture store will be closing its doors forever, but not before the inventory is sold in a creditor’s settlement sale. The extensive inventory is valued at more than $3 million, but will likely bring a small fraction of such cost at the one day only, public auction event.
The inventory consists of fine furniture styles, from traditional to modern and casual to formal selections, with many pieces by very well known designers and artists. Bedroom sets, living and dining rooms, entertainments centers, chandeliers and art represent a sampling of what will be sold at heavily discounted prices.
The auction will be conducted on July 17th, 2007 at 11:00 am at the Foremost Furniture retail showroom located at 8 West 30th Street on the 5th floor in New York, NY. A two-hour preview/inspection of the inventory will begin promptly at 9 am the morning of the sale. Attendees are urged to bring cash or certified funds, as these are the only accepted forms of payment.
